YOU ARE UNIQUE

35th BLOG POST -->>

Yesterday, when I was enjoying the shopping at District Centre, Delhi then I visited book centre. Where I noticed a book a “YOU ARE UNIQUE”. I read something about it on net. This book remains me my old days. Did you know that you are unique? There is no other person in all the world who is exactly like you! You're different. You're special. But maybe you don't really feel like that.
Written by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, this book You Are Unique, is dedicated to the mastery of your unique self, developing creative leadership, creating outstanding institutions and the art of achieving happiness by giving happiness to others.
The book shows the way that Greatness exists in all of us. It's simply a matter of pulling that greatness out. The book helps to build self-confidence and strength to achieve your goals.
Maybe, if I have all the riches and wealth in the world, I wouldn’t know God, for I would only depend on the material things that I’m drowned on. Maybe, if I was a six-footer man, I wouldn’t know how to look up and appreciate every little thing. Maybe, if I have a prince-liked handsome face, I would have a hard time looking at the inner beauty of someone. Maybe, if I am a great visual artist, I don’t have one of the talents, that I enjoy doing right now. Maybe, if I get all that I want, I’ll starve more and won’t know contentment. And maybe, if a day would always go perfect, there’s nothing more that I could live for, the morrow.
The thoughts of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in You Are Unique, with their heartfelt sincerity, chiselled logic and experienced intuition are amazing lamps on the path of life, giving strength to seek one's Unique Self. This book draws an unforgettable blue print of success for all. One lesson that shimmers from every page of this book is hope. Whether in failure or in success, there is always a clear vision of future. In human life as well as in the corporate world, the value of vision, leading to planning, followed by action should not be underestimated. The success smiles on those who dream and act.
In the first place, you know that police and government departments use fingerprints to identify people. They put some ink on your fingers and press them on paper, and they can tell by the patterns that your fingers leave if you really are the person you say you are. That's because no two people in the world have the same fingerprints.
And that's only one way you are different. Some scientists in Japan have discovered that your lips are special too. Just like your fingerprints, your lips have little markings on them, little grooves in the skin ... and everyone has a different pattern.
And there's something else that really is well known ... no one else smells exactly like you. That's not an insult. It's a fact. That's why police tracking dogs can follow one person's trail for long distances just by the smell they leave behind on the ground they touch.
But that's only a small beginning of the ways you are different -- you are unique. Eyes can be used for identification -- just like fingerprints -- because every eye in the world is different. One doctor in the United States made a study of what is inside of people ... and he discovered that even your stomach is different from everyone else's. No two are exactly the same size or shape. But being different -- being unique -- does tell you something. So many people these days are feeling like they are nothing more than a number on a computer card somewhere in a government file. But God says you are more than that. You're a special design. You were made special. Because that is the way God created you. You're different. You are not just a number. And because you're different ... YOU are important. Maybe not important to the government -- maybe not important to those other people standing around you in the crowd -- but you are important to God. Because he is the one who designed you. He is the one who made you different. He is the one who made you unique. Some special lines given related to book title are:
"Think what a remarkable, unduplicatable, and miraculous thing it is to be you! Of all the people
who have come and gone on the earth, since the beginning of time, not ONE of them is like
YOU!
No one who has ever lived or is to come has had your combination of abilities, talents,
appearance, friends, acquaintances, burdens, sorrows and opportunities.
No one’s hair grows exactly the way yours does. No one’s finger prints are like yours. No one
has the same combination of secret inside jokes and family expressions that you know.
The few people who laugh at all the same things you do, don’t sneeze the way you do. No one
prays about exactly the same concerns as you do. No one is loved by the same combination of
people that love you – NO ONE!
No one before, no one to come. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE!
Enjoy that uniqueness. You do not have to pretend in order to seem more like someone else.
You weren’t meant to be like someone else. You do not have to lie to conceal the parts of you
that are not like what you see in anyone else.
You were meant to be different. Nowhere ever in all of history will the same things be going on
in anyone’s mind, soul and spirit as are going on in yours right now.
If you did not exist, there would be a hole in creation, a gap in history, something missing from
the plan for humankind.
Treasure your uniqueness. It is a gift given only to you. Enjoy it and share it!
No one can reach out to others in the same way that you can. No one can speak your words.
No one can convey your meanings. No one can comfort with your kind of comfort. No one can
bring your kind of understanding to another person.
No one can be cheerful and lighthearted and joyous in your way. No one can smile your smile.
No one else can bring the whole unique impact of you to another human being.
Share your uniqueness. Let it be free to flow out among your family and friends and people you
meet in the rush and clutter of living wherever you are. That gift of yourself was given you to
enjoy and share. Give yourself away!
See it! Receive it! Let it tickle you! Let it inform you and nudge you and inspire you! YOU ARE
UNIQUE!"

You need to stop comparing yourself to other people. Some people are great singers, some are really smart and others are great athletes. But none of them are, or ever could be you. You are one of a kind. So stop comparing yourself to other people. You can’t be them any more than they can be you. A message of spirituality, honesty, being unselfish and the value of giving emerges from these pages as from his life. The world has changed and there is a need for awakening together the head and the heart. While poems touch the heart and leave a deep impression, his prose leads you to think how to go beyond the rock walls of conditioning, perceptions and prejudices to achieve success and fulfillment. Clearly presented thoughts, in You Are Unique, become our inspiration and constant companion, flashing 'upon the inward eye' at our decision making, vision creating as well as ordinary moments of life. The style is such as if you are talking to Dr Kalam, asking and getting answers for your questions, with graphic depiction of thoughts and concepts. Visually appealing, illuminating, dotted with his simple and charming experiences of life, you will love to read this book again and again.
Thanks :-) :-)
